As I stated in my first post, one of the reasons which brought me to begin this blog in the first place was my overabundance of projects for various game systems. I don't precisely lack motivation to work on painting, it is really my greatest and chiefest love in relation to playing miniature games. Without it I'd be losing my disposable income to poker, cocaine, or some other addiction cheaper than wee plastic, metal, and resin men. This addiction means that I have more projects on my painting table than I can shake a stick at, and a few more in conceptual stages.

However, I am notoriously slow to decide on a colour scheme for my forces. My Eldar army has possibly my favourite colour scheme I've ever seen but it took me more than four years to come up with it and refine it to a point where I was happy placing it on an army worth of space elves. One big issue is that, at some point, a friend convinced me that canon colour schemes were inherently boring and/or negative things. This poses a distinct problem when it comes to developing colours for armies, since the canon colours tend to be iconic, effective, and (for Warhammer 40k) maddeningly varied. This leaves me in the process of trying to develop colours for every project on my table one (or more) at a time.

Presently that list includes the following projects:
Craftworld Eldar: Colours chosen, but the collection is rather large.
Space Marines: Working on Astral Claws with parts from Forge World.
Battlefleet Gothic: Craftworld Eldar Fleet, Corsair Eldar Fleet (in need of colours), and Space Marine Fleet.
Warhammer Fantasy: I am seeking to devise High Elf colours and colours for a Warriors of Chaos force. I own a fully fledged army of the former and am beginning to grow a force of the latter.
Infinity: Yu Jing (Specifically the Japanese Sectorial Army) and Ariadna.
Malifaux: Nightmare Dreamer and Lord Chompy Bits + Crew.
Battletech: A company from Ryuken-yon and a growing force of Clan Nova Cat warriors.
MERCS: Kem-Var and Paint in Progress FCC House 9.

Finally, my brothers in battle have been suggesting oh so gently that I take up the challenge of painting a force of pre-heresy Legiones Astartes. I've had little luck in picking a legion so far, but sometimes I find inspiration in quotes from things, in this case from Heresy: Vol 1 Betrayal.
